Project: Children’s Sustainability Village
Certification: Platinum LEED (US Green Building Council)
Location: Lions Park - Cheyenne, WY
Opening Date: Summer 2009
When originally designed by EDAW, the goal of the project was to yield Gold LEED construction certification, which ultimately became Platinum LEED upon completion. Architects were able to achieve a higher "green" status in their LEED design for several reasons including the selection and specification of lumber products, namely TerraDeckTM and other Natures Composites products.
Touted as one of the biggest LEED green building rated projects of its kind in 2009, Natures Composites is proud to be a part of this project and many others across the United States where architects take special care in specifying green building materials and in this case the industry’s "greenest" and highest performing composite lumber products, TerraDeckTM.
