Natures Composites green building products are stronger and more durable than most wood composites and vinyl products based on testing and field data. Contractors, architects and consumers should follow all of Natures Composites recommended installation and product care instructions to ensure their products perform and continue to look great season after season. Warranty qualification requires following Natures Composites installation and product care instructions.
Color Retention
Natures Composites green building products are available in six colors and are naturally light to dark brown without adding color pigments. Based on color retention tests in accordance with ASTM D-4329, Natures Composites green building supplies and products retain their color up to 50% better than typical wood-plastic composites. Delta E of 11.54 (Natures) compared to 16.0-20.0 (wood-plastic composites) at 2,500 hours.

Natures Composites green building products have higher breaking strength (Tensile) and stiffness (Modulus of Elasticity) properties over competing brands, making our products not only "greener", but stronger and more durable. Deflection
Natures Composites green building products contain recycled HDPE (#2 plastic). Under certain circumstances, depending upon climate, environment and topography Natures Composites and other wood composite products may "deflect" or expand, which is beyond the manufacturer’s control and not considered a product defect. In almost all cases, product deflection does not occur but architects, contractors and consumers need to be made aware of the possibility of this occurrence and how to address.
Adding a fourth backer rail, TerraRailTM, will help minimize this natural occurring phenomenon. Please contact Natures Composites customer service department to speak with a technical advisor regarding deflection questions and concerns.
Warranty
Natures Composites offers a 20 year limited warranty for TerraFenceTM and TerraDeckTM green building supplies and products. Warranty qualification requires following product installation instructions and guidelines including rail and post spacing.
