General Stains and Cleaning Recommendations

All building materials in exterior applications require some degree of maintenance and cleaning.  Most stains are caused naturally or environmentally and do not constitute a manufacturing defect including water or mildew stains.  Natures Composites recommends the use of composite deck cleaners available at most lumber yards and home centers for cleaning TerraFence^TM and TerraDeck^TM composite deck and fencing materials.  Do not use power washers to clean composite fence and decking materials as customers risk damaging product.  Carefully read and follow all instructions before using composite deck cleaners on TerraFence^TM or TerraDeck^TM composite deck and fence materials. 

Mold and Mildew

Mold and mildew are part of the environment and naturally occur.  They form on virtually all surfaces of materials such as wood, steel, brass, stone and composite products.  If mold or mildew occurs on TerraFence^TM or TerraDeck^TM composite deck and fence materials, it can easily be removed using composite deck cleaners available at most lumber yards and home centers (click link for list of cleaning products).  Carefully read and follow all instructions before using composite deck cleaners on TerraFence^TM or TerraDeck^TM composite fence and decking products.
