LEED was created to:

  • define “green building” by establishing a common standard of measurement
  • promote integrated, whole-building design practices
  • recognize environmental leadership in the building industry
  • stimulate green competition
  • raise consumer awareness of green building benefits
  • transform the building market
  • Green Spec Listed*

*GreenSpec is the foremost ‘Green Building’ resource in the UK.  Independent of companies and trade bodies and launched in 2003 with government funding, GreenSpec promotes sustainable building products, materials and construction techniques. GreenSpec is edited by practising architects and specifiers – ensuring that the content and communication style is responsive to the needs of both design professionals and the self-build audience. From website Natures Composites is a Bio Preferred USDA certified bio-based product. Created in 2002, the Bio Preferred program was designed to promote economic development for farm commodities.  By increasing the use of bio-based we not only spur the farming economy but also reduce the nation’s use of petroleum.

Builds up the Farming Economy

  • Will Rogers says it well, “The farmer has to be an optimist, or he wouldn’t still be a farmer.”

Here at Natures Composites, we value the farming industry immensely.  Without farming then we wouldn’t have the ingredient that sets our product apart from others: wheat straw.  We understand the financial difficulty that farmers find themselves in when weather is less than kind to them.

When wheat is harvested, farmers will first harvest the head of the crop—or grain—to be sold to produce flour.  But after this process is complete. A field of grain-less stems—or wheat straw– is left behind.  Farmers could choose to bale the wheat straw and use it for animal bedding in their barns, decompose and rot in the field, or they can sell it to Natures Composites to be manufactured into our fencing and decking materials.

In the event of hail storm (or worse) wheat can easily be stripped of its grain and be rendered financially useless.  Luckily for them (and us) the straw most often is still able to be baled.  So rather than taking a total loss on their wheat field, farmers can rest easy knowing that they can make ends meet by selling their wheat straw to Natures Composites.

“Nature’s Way”

Made of 94% Recycled Materials

  • 57% Biomass

P.S.A. “No trees were harmed in the making of our product”

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again, Natures Composites fencing, and decking products do not use woods of any kind in our manufacturing.  Some of our competitors utilize recycled wood, and while this is helping to not let wood go to waste, IT STILL REQUIRES THAT A TREE NEEDED TO BE CUT DOWN AT SOME POINT!  We have taken wood completely out of the equation and replaced it with an annually renewable bi-product: wheat straw.  Wheat straw is the stalk that is left after the wheat grain is harvested to produce flour.  Wheat straw serves very little purpose once the grain is harvested.

  • 37% HDPE plastic

Natures Composites uses 100% post-consumer recycled plastic (milk jugs)

  • Non-Toxic

Natures Composites remains committed to its role in keeping our environments safe. We do not put any toxic products in our materials.

4 Color Options

  • Rosewood
  • Timber Brown
  • Raven
  • Charcoal Grey

Every color offered by Natures Composites has been engineered with the final color in mind. Instead of purchasing a color you like and watching fade away into one you do not, Natures Composites has designed each color package to fade into the color you like.

  • Timber Brown fades from a dark brown to Crayola brown. It is the closest to wood without being wood color.
  • Rosewood comes as a dark brown with hints of purple and fades to a deep walnut brown. It will issue a bold statement on any property it resides on.
  • Raven comes as black, leaves as black. Not for the faint of heart, this color has minimal fade. This is sure to make the neighbors jealous.
  • Charcoal Grey carries the most fade; it comes new as a medium grey with almost a hint of sea green however, it fades to an aspen grey that is sure to compliment any exterior.

Low Maintenance “Less cost over time” – Composite fencing and decking materials have become highly recommended for outdoor home improvement for two reasons. First– wood fences and decks require sanding, staining, and sealing annually while composite fences and decks only require a little rinse when they get dirty.  With less time in maintenance you can have more time for life and less money spent on upkeep over the years of that life. “Less work means more fun”

Care and Cleaning – Natures Composites remains committed to delivering a low maintenance product to its customers. However, the location of your product means that dirt, scratches, oil spills, and mold can build up over time. Below are several recommended solutions, for other issues that may come up please call Natures Composites directly at 1-877-810-4029.

Dirt (including rust and grime) – Clean product using hot water, a soft brush, and a mild detergent.
Deck Brightener can be used if hot water is not enough.

Scratches – A scratch or scuff will fade over time (about 10-15 weeks).

Oil Stain – Rinse with hot water as quickly as possible.

Mold – Spring and fall cleaning of your product prevents the buildup of mold spore growth.
Hot water, a soft brush and a mild detergent will work for this semi-annual cleaning.

Increase Your Property Value – Experts say that one of the top ways to raise your property value is to improve your home’s “curb appeal”.  First impressions are key, and, for the home buyer, the first impression is what they see before they even walk through the front doors.  At Natures Composites we offer a variety of fencing designs as well as matching decking materials to make your home “picture perfect”.

Matching Deck and Fence – All four of our beautiful color choices are available in all our products.  This ensures that your entire home project from fencing to decking will be matching.

Warranty – Natures Composites provides a 25-year limited residential warranty and a 10-year limited commercial warranty that we stand behind.  This warranty is transferable one time within 5 years of purchase.  Any of our non-composite components (i.e. Steele, caps, screws) are subject to a 1-year warranty.
