20 Years of Innovation in Outdoor Materials
A Better Material for Outdoor Living
Natures Composites was founded in Wyoming nearly two decades ago with a clear mission: to create a better alternative to traditional outdoor materials. Today, we proudly manufacture in the USA using a proprietary formula that blends wheat straw—an annually renewable agricultural by-product—with high-density polyethylene (HDPE), transforming agricultural waste into durable, high-performance fencing systems. By sourcing materials locally and producing in Torrington, Wyoming, we support American farmers while delivering a more sustainable and scalable solution for modern outdoor living. Unlike traditional wood or conventional wood-plastic composites (WPC), our material is engineered for greater consistency, durability, and reduced lifecycle impact—delivering the natural look of wood without the ongoing maintenance, frequent replacement, and environmental cost.
Built to Outperform Wood
Sustainable Materials
Proudly made in the USA, Natures Composites fencing is manufactured using our proprietary formula that blends wheat straw—an annually renewable agricultural by-product—with high-density polyethylene (HDPE). By repurposing agricultural waste that would otherwise be discarded, our material reduces environmental impact while delivering a durable, high-performance alternative to traditional wood. Unlike timber, which requires ongoing harvesting, maintenance, and replacement, our composite is engineered for long-term use, helping reduce lifecycle waste. The result is a fencing system that maintains the natural look and texture of wood while offering greater consistency, longevity, and sustainability.
Performance Tested
Our systems are engineered and tested to perform in demanding real-world environments. Verified by Intertek USA, our Modern Fencing withstands sustained winds of 100 mph with gusts up to 116 mph, while our Commercial Grade systems reach 130 mph with gusts up to 147 mph—equivalent to Category 1 and Category 3 hurricane conditions. Key components have been tested in accordance with ASTM E84 standards, achieving a Class B rating for flame spread and smoke development, exceeding the performance of traditional wood, which typically falls under Class C. In addition, our fencing provides acoustic benefits, with an STC rating of 24, reducing perceived noise levels by over 75%.
Easy Installation
Our fencing is designed as a complete, integrated system to simplify installation and improve consistency across every project. Unlike traditional wood fencing, which often requires extensive on-site measuring, cutting, and adjustments, Natures Composites systems are engineered for a more streamlined installation process. The boards cut exactly like wood using standard woodworking tools, giving installers the familiarity they need while benefiting from a more advanced material. Combined with our carpentry-free system design, this helps reduce installation time, minimize complexity, and deliver a clean, professional finish.
Low Maintenance
Unlike wood, which is prone to rot, splintering, cracking, and ongoing upkeep, our composite material is engineered to resist moisture and environmental wear. The HDPE component acts as a protective barrier, limiting water absorption without leaching or degradation. As a result, our fencing does not require painting, staining, or sealing, significantly reducing long-term maintenance costs. While natural weathering may result in gradual color fading and minor bowing over time, the structural performance and durability of the system remain unaffected.
