The Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating is a measure of a material's or partition's ability to reduce airborne sound transmission. The STC scale is logarithmic, and each increase of 10 points roughly corresponds to the doubling of sound insulation. Our STC rating of 24 suggests a reduction of over 75% of perceived loudness.

To maintain the appearance of your composite fence, clean it every 6 to 12 months or when necessary. Use mild dish soap with warm water and a soft cloth or sponge to remove dirt, debris, and stains. For stubborn stains, seasonal care tips and general maintenance advice, read our full care and cleaning guide here.
Like any exterior surface, composite fencing can develop surface mold or mildew in humid or shaded environments if not periodically cleaned. Unlike traditional wood, mold does not penetrate the material — it remains on the surface and can be removed with routine maintenance. This guide outlines recommended cleaning and prevention practices.
Like any material made with organic fibers, our composite boards naturally experience some color weathering, which is a normal and expected process, not a defect. What makes us different is how evenly and elegantly our proprietary blend of wheat straw and recycled HDPE ages—maintaining structural integrity while developing a soft, matte tone that blends seamlessly into outdoor spaces. Unlike traditional wood that can fade unevenly, crack, or require constant maintenance, our products retain their refined look year after year, offering a low-maintenance, eco-friendly solution that performs beautifully in all climates. You can view our Color Weathering Guide at the link below to see before-and-after images and real-world examples of how our products evolve over time.
Slight bowing is a normal characteristic of composite fencing, primarily due to temperature changes and sun exposure. As the boards expand when exposed to heat, this natural behavior occurs, but it does not compromise the strength or durability of your fence. Our composite boards are specifically designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, including high winds, extreme heat, and cold, ensuring long-lasting performance. While the boards may experience minor bowing, the overall functionality and aesthetic of your fence remain intact, and it continues to deliver reliable protection and durability.
