Ground Burial Design: This 5-inch by 5-inch, 50-inch long post is designed to be buried in the ground and filled with concrete. The Nature’s Composites 2-Rail Traditional Ranch Rail system is designed to stand 36 inches above ground. The post itself stands 35 inches above ground, and the post cap provides an additional 1 inch to complete the total 36-inch height. The 50-inch post will be buried 15 inches, representing 42% of the total post length, which is well above the recommended 1/3 rule for secure installations.
Hard Surface Mounting: For fences mounted on hard surfaces, you can cut the post to 35 inches, fill the end of the post with wood, and use a post bracket for secure mounting.
